How do children with SEND engage in all activities?

We ensure that all children can access all things as best as we can. We do not see SEND as a barrier to accessing the full curriculum and ensure that children with SEND are fully included in all activities in order to promote the highest levels of achievement.

Lessons and activities are planned with the children in mind to ensure that relevant and appropriate adjustments and arrangements are made to include everyone. We seek advice where necessary and provide appropriate resources. Staff also undertake relevant training.

Support staff often support and work alongside children with SEND in whole school experiences and on trips to ensure they can have the necessary breaks they need and access all activities appropriately.

Children with SEND have SMART targets as part of their support plans and receive praise for their achievements.
